Flashdance The Musical

The folks of Nottingham are in for a real treat next year as the world premiere of Flashdance – The Musical, sets the stage on fire at the Royal Concert Hall, Theatre Royal from 12th to 24th January 2009. The pulsating musical, based on the Paramount Pictures film of the same name, tells the story of Alex, an 18 year old youth who works as a welder and dreams of finding a place at the Shipley Dance Academy as a flash dancer. Listen as chartbusters including, “Maniac”, “Manhunt”, “Gloria”, “I Love Rock & Roll” and "Flashdance - What a Feeling" the Academy Award winning title track bring back memories of the original movie as they talk about holding onto your dreams and love against all hardships.
