Nottingham Xmas market

Christmas cheer comes to Nottingham next week with the opening of the German Christmas Market in the city centre on November 19, 2008 and the start of a festive light show that will illuminate Nottingham’s Council House for miles around. Early to mid-December, the traditional Christmas Craft Market will open.
The German market will be in Long Row, King Street and Smithy Row and the craft market will be in Long Row West between King Street and Market Street or in Wheeler Gate.
Instead of the traditional Christmas tree in the Old Market Square this year, a display of dancing lights will colourwash the columns of the Council House, bathing the façade and dome in a rainbow of colours making it visible for miles around and ensuring that the Old Market Square remains the brightest point in the City.
